"Hollywood Smile" is a marketing name, not a clinical term. It usually means changing the colour, shape and alignment of the visible front teeth, most often with veneers or crowns. Many patients travel to Istanbul for this treatment, so it helps to know what it involves before you compare offers.

What Is a Hollywood Smile?

A Hollywood Smile plan can include some or all of:

  • Porcelain veneers or crowns on the teeth that show when you smile
  • Professional teeth whitening
  • Gum contouring, where it is needed
  • Composite bonding for small gaps or chips

How many teeth are treated is not fixed. It depends on your smile line, the condition of each tooth and what you want to change, and it is decided after an examination.

Veneer Materials

Lithium disilicate (E.max) veneers: a glass-ceramic often chosen for front teeth because of its translucency.

Zirconia: stronger, and sometimes chosen where more strength is needed; it is generally less translucent.

Composite veneers: built up directly on the tooth, usually at lower cost and with little or no preparation, but they wear and stain more than porcelain and need maintenance sooner.

How long any veneer lasts depends on the material, your bite, grinding, hygiene and check-ups. No material is permanent; veneers and crowns are eventually replaced. See what is removed during veneer preparation and whether a Hollywood Smile is safe.

How Are the Visits Organised?

Porcelain veneers usually involve at least two stages: examination, planning and tooth preparation with temporaries, then fitting the final veneers once the laboratory has made them. The number of days you need in Istanbul depends on how many teeth are treated and what the dentist finds, so it is confirmed in your own treatment plan. Leave time for a check of the bite before you fly home.

The number of veneers, the material and the price are set individually after an examination. A treatment plan is prepared before treatment starts; ask for the cost to be confirmed in writing.
